Integrations that support auto-sync of coupon/affiliate codes
When auto-sync is enabled, the following platforms will recognize the coupon code assigned to a specific affiliate for tracking:
- Shopify
- BigCommerce
- Ecwid
- Recharge (through Shopify)
- Rest API
- WooCommerce
Enable auto-sync coupon codes
To enable auto-sync, navigate to Integrations - Connected and click Edit next to your connected integration.
Set Automatically Sync Affiliate Coupons to Yes. Select a discount type and the coupon amount. The chosen number will be the same for all affiliates. After you finish configuring your discount code settings, click Save.
Please note that automatic synchronization applies only to new affiliates registered after this feature is enabled.
If you want the coupon code to be automatically added to the shopping cart when an affiliate clicks a link, please enable "Use Shopify Automatic Discount URL". Please note that this is only available for Shopify users.
Integrations that support manual sync of coupon/affiliate codes
The following integrations require that affiliate codes/coupons be added in LeadDyno and on the platform you use. The codes must match on both platforms to correctly track a sale. For example, if the LeadDyno affiliate code is "Discount10", the discount code on your platform must also be "Discount10" for the manual sync to work.
Note: LeadDyno does not automatically upload a new coupon when an affiliate is created. You must manually add it to both platforms.
To prevent affiliates from manually changing a coupon code, disable the ability for affiliates to edit their code in Affiliate Dashboards. Click the "more" button on the dashboard for the option you want to deactivate, then go to the Additional Settings section. Do so by unchecking Allow Affiliates to Edit Affiliate Code.
Integrations with no coupon/affiliate code support
The following platforms do not support tracking affiliate sales by coupon code at this time:
How to enable/create coupon/affiliate codes
There are two ways to enable coupon code tracking:
Manually assign affiliates a code
Navigate to Affiliates - Manage, select the affiliate, and click Edit. Add an affiliate code with the word/number combination of your choice. This manual process lets you select the code for each affiliate.
Once assigned, a code will appear on the affiliate website dashboard.
Allow affiliates to edit the affiliate code
Auto-generated codes are short sequences of letters or numbers. To allow affiliates to edit their affiliate code, navigate to Affiliate Dashboards - Settings and enable "Allow Affiliates To Edit Affiliate Code".
Note: This feature should not be enabled for specific integrations, such as Stripe or WordPress, which require manual syncing of affiliate codes.
Once enabled, affiliates can edit their affiliate code in their affiliate website dashboard.
Disable Affiliate Links & Use Discount Codes Only
LeadDyno has a feature that lets you disable affiliate links and use only discount codes.
To do this, please visit Affiliates - Settings and enable the "Disable Affiliate Links & Use Discount Codes Only" option.
Search affiliate by affiliate code
You can also find your affiliates by searching for them using their affiliate code. This can be done by adding the affiliate code inside the search bar when accessing Affiliates - Manage.
