LeadDyno allows you to require affiliates to upload a W-9 or W-8 tax form directly from their affiliate dashboard, thereby centralizing tax documentation.

What is a W9 / W8 form

Form W-9 is a United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) form utilized to gather taxpayer information from U.S. persons, including their name, address, and Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), for the purpose of reporting payments. Conversely, non-U.S. individuals or entities employ Form W-8 to certify their foreign status and, when appropriate, to claim treaty benefits concerning U.S.-source income.

Enabling W9 / W8 uploads

To turn this feature on:

1. Go to Affiliates - Settings.

2. In the Other Settings card, you will find the Ask affiliates to upload W-9 / W-8BEN option.

3. Switch it to Yes.

Once enabled, a new Tax Form section will appear on the home page of all affiliates' dashboards.

What affiliates see

After the setting is enabled, affiliates can:

• Upload a W9 or W8 (PDF).

• Access their uploaded file from the Tax Form option in the dashboard dropdown.

• Download the file again later.

• Delete the file if they need to re-upload an updated version.

What affiliate program managers see

Affiliate program managers can also view tax forms:

1. Navigate to the individual affiliate screen.

2. Locate the affiliate’s Tax Form area.

From there, managers can:

• Access the uploaded PDF.

• Download/Edit/Delete the tax form if needed.

Exporting tax forms in bulk

You can now export tax forms for all affiliates:

1. Go to your affiliates management area.

2. Use the export dropdown options:

   • Affiliate data → exports a CSV with affiliate information.

   • Tax Form → exports a ZIP containing all provided W9/W8 PDFs.

This makes it easy to collect everything in one secure package when you need it for internal review or accounting workflows.

Download link expiration

After you request the Tax Form export:

• You’ll receive an email with a download link.

• The link expires after 1 hour.

If you need the files again after it expires, return to the export dropdown and rerun the export to generate a new download link.
